Guardian Petrolatum Mastic MM is a petrolatum-based profiling and sealing compound designed for use within the Guardian Splash Zone Protection Systems. Formulated with inert fillers, corrosion inhibitors, thermal extenders, and a wide spectrum biocide, the system is engineered to perform in harsh marine and splash zone environments.
The mastic is used to fill voids, smooth sharp angular transitions, and profile irregular surfaces prior to tape application, helping prevent bridging and void formation during installation. Its non-hardening, flexible composition maintains stability and plasticity across a wide operating temperature range.
Guardian Petrolatum Mastic MM is commonly used on marine piles, offshore structures, jetty infrastructure, subsea assets, and other exposed steel structures requiring long-term corrosion protection in aggressive environments.
