Guardian Petrolatum Primer MP
Guardian Petrolatum Primer MP is a reinforced petrolatum primer designed for use within the Guardian Splash-Zone Protection System across marine, offshore, and high-corrosion environments.
Formulated with blended petrolatum, inert fillers, corrosion inhibitors, and thermal extenders, the primer provides long-term surface conditioning and corrosion protection for steel substrates exposed to harsh operating conditions. Its non-hardening formulation maintains flexibility and plasticity over a wide temperature range, allowing the product to profile irregular surfaces, crevices, and sharp angles without bridging or voiding.
Guardian Petrolatum Primer MP is specifically designed to support splash-zone and marine corrosion protection systems where assets are exposed to saltwater, continuous wet/dry cycling, and aggressive environmental conditions.
The primer forms a key component of the Guardian Splash-Zone System and is commonly used alongside Guardian Petrolatum Tape MT and Guardian Overwrap products.
